Australians have a tendency to talk ourselves down, little bit of what's called the cultural cringe. We cut down our talented people before we even give them a chance, and it's only when they become a success overseas - do we take them in and claim them as our own.
There are so many Aussies killing it right now and doing us proud.

I have loved this chick for a while, and when her song 'work' blew up I was hooked, and have been waiting what feels like forever for her new album which is finally here!
Iggy Azalea, if you don't know who she is - go and look her up because she is going to be massive, and in the music industry for a long time. Shes a rap chick, has an amazing ass and was born in Australia before she left to pursue her rap career in America by herself at AGED 16. Her hit 'Work' talks about moving from Australia and the hardships and work she's had to put in to get where she is today. Iggy and I are the same age and I honestly cannot imagine myself at 16 being that focused and driven. It's paid off and She's just released her debut and LONG awaited album The New Classic.
Iggy Azalea has kind of beaten the odds when it comes to a rap career. There aren't many respected women rappers and definitely not white girls from Australia. So the fact she's having the success she is, goes to show the girl has talent.
The new classic really is so good. 'Work' and 'Change Your Life feat TI' feature on the album along with her new release 'Fancy'.
'Fancy' with Charlie CXC pays homage to the movie clueless, was filmed in the same school and the costumes are so good. Watch it hereeeeee
She's also just collaborated with the super talented and girl of the moment Ariana Grande on her #1 hit 'Problem' - Ariana is definitely another one breaking through who will be around a long time in this industry(she's also reportedly back with Australian ex boyfriend Jai Brooks from the Janoskians - another post!).
